Fellowships
The Beinecke Scholarship supports undergraduates concentrating in the Humanities, Social Sciences, and the Arts in pursuing graduate study, whether in a US-based or international graduate program.
- What’s provided: Beinecke Scholars receive a $5,000 grant immediately prior to entering graduate school and an additional $30,000 while attending graduate school.

Eligibility
- Must be a current junior concentrating in the Humanities, Social Sciences, or the Arts (note: concentrators in Neuroscience or Clinical Psychology are ineligible)
- Must have U.S. citizenship or be a U.S. national
- Must be a recipient of need-based financial aid

How to Apply
The Beinecke Scholarship application requires the following:
- A completed and signed application form (available on the Beinecke website)
- A financial information form completed by a Financial Aid officer at Brown
- A one to two-page resume or CV
- A personal statement of 1,000 words or less describing the applicant's background, interests, plans for graduate study and career aspirations
- Three letters of recommendation address to the Beinecke Scholarship Selection Committee
- An unofficial transcript from Brown and transcripts from any other institutions you have attended for more than one semester
Submit your complete application to UFunds by the campus deadline of 11:59 p.m. ET on February 3, 2025 for consideration in the campus nomination process.
