The Michel David-Weill Scholarship supports U.S. students in pursuing a Master's program at Sciences Po in Paris. Brown University is able to nominate one student each year for this opportunity.

  • What’s provided: ​Tuition and living expenses for any two-year Master's program at Sciences Po, excepting journalism
  • Location: Sciences Po, Paris, France

  • Duration: Two years

Eligibility 

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen and a currently-enrolled senior
  • Must be 19-25 years of age
  • Must meet the eligibility requirements of an eligible Sciences Po Master's program
  • A 3.7 minimum GPA is required

How to Apply:

1. Students must be nominated by Brown to apply for the Michel David-Weill Scholarship. To apply for nomination, complete the Michel David-Weill Scholarship UFunds application, including:

  • A completed candidate information form (available on the Michel David-Weill Scholarship website)
  • A candidate personal statement (1000 words)
  • C.V.
  • Official Brown University transcript
  • Three letters of recommendation – two of which must be from academic referees
  • A recent graded research paper, 8-10 pages in length, with professor comments

2. Submit your application through our UFunds online application system by the campus deadline (to be announced Summer 2026). 

Brown’s Michel David-Weill Review Committee will review and nominate one applicant. If you are nominated, you will:

  1. Meet with a fellowship advisor to discuss application logistics and committee feedback.
  2. Submit your finalized application to the Fellowships Office via email by the nomination deadline (to be announced Summer 2026). This deadline is essential for the Fellowships Office to finalize your endorsement letter.
  3. Apply for a Master's program at Sciences Po via their online application system by the national deadline (to be announced Summer 2026). (Note: If your program requires a TCF or DALF French language test score, you must submit it with your application.)

The Fellowships Team will submit your application with an endorsement letter by the national deadline (to be announced Summer 2026).
