The Keasbey Memorial Foundation awards Keasbey Scholarships to seniors to support one or two years of graduate study at either Oxford, Cambridge, or the University of Edinburgh. The Thomas R. Pickering Foreign Affairs Graduate Fellowship Program provides graduate fellowships to candidates committed to joining the Foreign Service. The program is funded by the U.S. Department of State and administered by Howard University. It welcomes the application of members of minority groups historically underrepresented in the State Department, women, and those with a demonstrated financial need for graduate school.
Upon successful completion of a two-year master’s degree program and fulfillment of Foreign Service entry requirements, fellows have the opportunity to work as Foreign Service Officers, serving in Washington, D.C., and at a U.S. embassy, consulate, or diplomatic mission around the globe. Fellows also agree to a minimum five-year service commitment in the Department of State’s Foreign Service.

The Charles B. Rangel International Affairs Summer Enrichment Program is a six-week summer program designed to provide undergraduate students with a deeper appreciation of current issues and trends in international affairs, a greater understanding of career opportunities in international affairs, and an enhanced knowledge and skills to pursue such careers. Students live at Howard University, attend classes, and participate in a variety of programs with foreign affairs professionals at Howard and at locations around Washington, DC.
The Rhodes Scholarship is the oldest international scholarship program, enabling people from around the world to study at the University of Oxford. It fully funds two years of graduate study at the University of Oxford, whether a taught Master's program or research degree. Every year, a cohort of thirty-two U.S. citizens, permanent residents, or DACA recipients and approximately sixty-eight non-U.S. citizens receive Rhodes Scholarships.
